Latin music rock band Maná will be joining the White House's celebration of Cinco de Mayo with a special performance.

The news was announced in a video posted on their official Facebook account.

“We are very happy that we will be going to the White House on May 5 to celebrate the day for Latinos and Mexico,” the band's singer Fher Olvera said. “We are very happy that we will be seeing Mr. Obama again. We will see you there soon.”

The politically vocal band has been very supportive of President Obama for years and have been outspoken about American leaders making positive changes for Latinos in the United States.

The Mexican group has also been critical of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump for his views and criticism of immigrants.

At the 2015 Latin Grammys the group took the stage with Los Tigres del Norte to perform and at the end of their set raised a banner that urged fans to vote for the right political candidate this upcoming election.

The banner, taking aim at Trump, who infamously made racist comments about Mexican immigrants, read "Latinos united, don't vote for the racists!"

Soon after, the band recorded a version of Los Tigres del Norte’s song “Somos Más Americanos,” a song that highlights the immigrant experience in America. 

Further adding to their political agenda, Maná will be kicking off their “Latino Power Tour” on Sept. 9. The tour will promote the importance of the Latino vote. 

Maná, with multiple awards, sold-out concerts and a variety of hit songs, is one of the most successful Latin rock bands of all time. To add to their accomplishments, the band recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

This isn't the band's first time performing for Obama. The group rallied support for Obama's reelection in 2012 and also performed at the President’s inaugural ball in 2013.
