Buffalo, New York high school student Jessica Casanova was one lucky teenager when she was able to attend her prom wearing the very same dress that actress Gina Rodriguez wore to the 2015 Golden Globes.

The teen, tweeted a photo of herself wearing the black Badgley Mischka gown that Rodriguez wore to the very same Golden Globe ceremony where she won Best Actress in a Comedy award for her role of Jane Villanueva on "Jane The Virgin."

The photo was originally shared by photojournalist Robert Kirkman of The Buffalo News.


"Gina's dress made me feel like a princess and it gave me chills knowing that it was something that came from her heart and I cherish that very much," said the teen. "I wish I could give her a big hug and tell her how much I love her. She will always have a special place in my heart."

Back in January Casanova tweeted at the actress explaining she would love to wear the dress Rodriguez wore to the 2016 Golden Globes to her prom.

While Casanova didn't expect for Rodriguez to respond, the 31-year-old actress did and explained that while she didn't own that dress she did own the one from her first Golden Globes and that she could wear that one.

To the teen's surprise, Rodriguez promised to get in touch with her and make her dream a reality. As proven by the photos, Rodriguez stuck to her promise.
