Tila Tequila is learning that when you come after Jennifer Lopez, and do so with a racist tweet, things won't work out well for you.

On May 31, in a desperate cry for attention, the "Celebrity Big Brother" star decided to attack Lopez.

Her attempt at throwing shade backfired when she received a lot of criticism for the racist nature of her tweet.

"I don't really see anything great about @JLo. She's just a Mexican with money," she tweeted.

Many were quick to call out Tequila and while also clarifying that Lopez is Puerto Rican and is a self-made woman. Soon after the tweet, Tequila's account was deactivated. However, she was later back on Twitter the next day defending herself and making other offensive and controversial comments about race and immigrants in the process.

After her racist comments, it came as no surprise to learn that Tequila is a supporter of Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. The reality star credited herself with helping Trump become the Republican nominee.

Lopez has yet to make any comments on Tequila's racist tweet.
