The Tuesday, July 12 Mega Millions jackpot has reset at $15 million after at least one winning ticket was sold in the July 8, $540 million game. Make sure and visit this page at 11:00 p.m. ET to learn what the winning numbers are since we will be publishing them in real time.

There were no grand prize winners for more than four months prior to a July 8, winning ticket being sold in Indiana. With the jackpot rolling over after each drawing, the $540 million jackpot represented the third largest in the game's history.

A single winner in the July 12 game will have the option of walking away with a onetime, cash-option lump sum payment of $10 million.

Mega Millions drawings are held Tuesday and Friday at 11 p.m. Five balls are drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 75; the Mega ball is drawn from a set of balls numbered 1 through 15. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 259 million.

The winning numbers in the July 8 game were 8, 19, 20, 53 and 73. The winning Gold Mega Ball number was 5 and the Megaplier was 2.

Ten Players Win $1 Million Each

Ten players matched all five white ball numbers to earn winnings of $1 million each. The winning tickets were sold in Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Kansas, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Missouri, New Jersey and Oklahoma. Of those winners, three players played the megaplier to increase their winnings to $2 million.

Mega Millions is played in 44 states, plus the District of Columbia and the Virgin Islands. Tickets costs $1 each.

Powerball Jackpot at $311 Million

Meanwhile, the Wednesday, July 13 Powerball jackpot has swelled to $311 million with a cash option of $221.4 million after no grand prize winners have emerged from the last several drawings.

The jackpot is the game's largest since the grand prize reached $429.6 million in the May 7 game. The odds of winning the jackpot are estimated at one in 292.2 million.
