'Mozart in the Jungle' New Season 3 Release Date Announced for December 9 – See Promo Tweet and Latest Photo Gallery of Cast as Premiere Date and Episode 1 Looms
"Mozart in the Jungle's" Twitter handle announced (earlier today) the air date of the much anticipated Season 3 of the Golden Globes Award-winning Amazon Original series. The new season will premiere on Amazon Prime on December 9th in 2016 and based on the information included in the Tweet the show will include "a whole new tune". Watch and listen by playing the video below:
It is indeed a whole new tune and one can notice a shot of a younger Mozart in the short promo clip. The new tune feels fresh, different and is exciting. Compare it to the opening tune of Season 2.
Take that back, the music in the short promo clip is not a new tune. It was music already used in Episode 208 (1:57 on the video) of Season 2. "A whole new tune" was being referred to the new season most likely.
Before the announcement today, the cast of one the most popular shows on the internet today participated in several events including a painel session during the 2016 Television Critics Association Summer Tour at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on August 7, 2016 as well as the FYC screening and Q&A panel session on April 21, 2016 at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood which the Latin Post reported on.
The event was preceded by red carpet entrances, photo shoots and interviews and succeeded by an after-party appropriately accompanied by an ensemble playing classical music. Latin Post provides some photos of the evening down below.
Cast Talks Season 3: 'New Romance To Brew', Season 3 Shooting 'Soon'
While not much of Season 3 has been revealed as of yet, in red carpet interviews provided by Red Carpet Report earlier this year, host Jada Montemarano interviewed Gael Garcia Bernal (Maestro Rodrigo), Lola Kirke (Hailey), Bernadette Peters (Gloria), Saffron Burrows (Cynthia), Malcom McDowell (Maestro Thomas), and Roman Coppola - the series' executive producer. The cast shared details on the activities that are to during show's third season.
While not many details on the third season were shared, we do learn from Bernadette Peters that a "new romance is to brew" in the orchestra's trip to Europe and Saffron Burrows mentions that season three shooting will take place "pretty soon".
Here is an interview with one of the series' star, Gael Garcia Bernal who's originally from Guadalajara, Mexico:

Growth of Amazon's Original Series and a Victory for Latinos and Diversity in Film
As announced in February earlier this year, the series is slated to return for yet another series.
The renewal of "Mozart in the Jungle" is all the more prominent because the series' main topic relates the adventures of a New York Symphony Orchestra and its attempts to remain relevant.
The first season established the difficult transition from one conductor to another as well as the journey of a young oboist trying to prove her worth in a highly competitive world.
The second season of "Mozart in the Jungle" took up the internal complications of a labor dispute while also opening the world of the story and having the orchestra travel to Latin America and Mexico. The third season, which picks up after the ramifications of the labor dispute, is set to take the orchestra all the way to Europe.
It is impossible to overlook the fact that the series is headlined by an Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal, a victory for those battling for diversity in film and television. Bernal won the Golden Globe for best actor in a comedy series this past year.
The wins at the Golden Globes undoubtedly raised the profile of the show and renewal for another season will probably also increase the budget of the series.
