‘Law & Order: SVU’ Season 18 Spoilers, Updates & Air Date: Elliot Stabler Returns, Does Benson Find ‘The One’?
“Law & Order: SVU” returns to NBC this fall on Wednesday Sept. 21, when fans will get a taste of new cases, interesting twists, and more romance.
Olivia Benson and Ed Tucker
Fans saw Lt. Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay) and Captain Ed Tucker (Robert John Burke) heat things up in their not-so-secret relationship. Will they take things to the next level in “Law & Order: SVU” Season 18?
Olivia is definitely known for having those “friends with benefits” kind of relationships that she hides from her partners, although everyone eventually finds out. Will she ever skip that phase and truly give a man her heart?
"He's so masculine and so strong and so powerful that she can [exhale] because he's that, so [Benson] gets to be a different color," Hargitay tells E! News.
Maybe the Detective has finally found “the one.”
Elliot Stabler Returns
Detective Stabler (Christopher Meloni) will return to “Law & Order: SVU” Season 18 after taking a hiatus.
The fan favorite has always been a little over protective of his longtime partner Benson. Will his return mean trouble in paradise for Benson and Tucker?
And how will Stabler act as an officer now? He was mostly known for his quick temper which has gotten him in trouble on several different occasions.
Will his time off turn him into a changed man?
Law & Order: SVU Season 18 Guest Star Appearances
Meanwhile, new guest stars will appear on “Law & Order: SVU” Season 18.
Fans will get to see Henry Thomas from “E.T.” appear on the hit series in an episode about a convicted rapist. Officials let Thomas’ character go, after getting a new DNA sample that proved his innocence.
Detective Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice T) arrested Thomas’ character in the past, but started to investigate him again when he was linked to a recent murder.
Kelli Williams will guest star in the show alongside Thomas. She will play Melanie, the rape victim who initially picked Thomas out of a line up 16 years prior to the new evidence release.
Making a Murderer Theme
The episode starring Henry Thomas will mirror the Steven Avery case from the hit Netflix series “Making a Murderer.”
Avery was wrongfully convicted of sexual assault, let out of prison, and then locked right back up when officials found him responsible for the murder of Teresa Halbach.
“Law & Order: SVU” returns to NBC on Wednesday Sept. 21 at 9 p.m. EST. You don’t want to miss it.
