The “Sorry” singer had already threatened to make his Instagram account private if fans did not stop making negative comments about his rumored new girlfriend, Sofia Richie.

He made the page private on Monday night. And then it was deleted.

Gomez did not hesitate to comment on his remarks. The “Kill em With Kindness” singer backed Bieber’s fans, telling him to not be mad at them because they love him.

“If you can’t handle the hate then stop posting pictures of your girlfriend lol – it should be special between you two only,” she commented.

Was Gomez throwing shade? She later apologized for her comment.

Gomez made a Snapchat video to say that what she said was “selfish and pointless.” E! Online screen grabbed the Snap while other comments made on Instagram by the former lovers have gone viral.

“It’s funny to see people that used me for attention and still try to point the finger this way. Sad. All love,” Bieber said after Gomez commented about his rumored relationship.

The former Disney star did not stand down after her ex-boyfriend threw shade.

“Funny how the ones that cheated multiple times, are pointing the finger at the ones that were forgiving and supportive, no wonder fans are mad. Sad. All love,” Gomez shot back.

And Bieber was not done yet.

“I cheated…Oh and I forgot about you and Zayn [Malik],” he said.

They even went to an ice hockey match together in California Monday night.
