The Powerball jackpot for Wednesday, August 24 was jetted to $127 million with a cash option, lump sum payment of $87.8 million with no winning ticket matching all numbers for the August 20, 2016 drawing. While there were no grand prize winners for the drawing, this means more opportunities to earn more for today's game. The winning numbers in last Saturday's game were 3, 6, 21, 60 and 68. The winning Red Powerball number was 24 and the Power Play number was 2.
Million Dollar Winner
One player from Massachusetts matched all five white ball numbers to win a prize of $1 million. In all, there were 621, 047 winners of at least $4 each. You can watch a live stream here of Wednesday night's draw.
Powerball is offered in 44 States, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico, and the Virgin Islands. Players select five white numbers from (1 to 69) and one red ball (1 to 26) Tickets cost $2 each. The odds of winning the jackpot are one in 259 million.
Mega Millions Jackpot at $76 Million
Meanwhile, the August 26 Mega Millions jackpot has climbed to $76 million with a $52 million cash option.
There were no jackpot winners in the August 23, $69 million game, rolling the grand prize over Friday's drawing.
The winning numbers on Tuesday were 2, 7, 46, 61 and 66. The winning Gold Mega Ball number was 1 and the megalpier was 2.
Two players matched the five white ball numbers to win prizes of $1 million each, with the winning tickets being sold in Florida and New York. In all, there were 401, 548 winners of at least $2 each.
