Derrick Rose is not only standing by his proclamation of the New York Knicks being a super team, he's upping the ante. "I think we have a chance to win every game, and in the league, that's rare," said Rose, who classifies his Knicks and the back-to-back finals appearing Golden State Warriors as the league's only "super teams."

Rose Sees big Things

As for himself and the litany of injuries that have more or less robbed him of two of the last three NBA seasons, Rose adds, "I feel like I'm not done. It's a new start. I feel rejuvenated, and when you put all that together, when I step on the floor, I really don't know what to expect. What I'm doing right now is just preparing myself for something big."

Indeed, the Knicks starting five of Rose, Carmelo Anthony, Joakim Noah, Kristaps Porzingis and Courtney Lee boasts three proven All-Stars. It's just that Rose, Anthony and Noah are all coming off stretches of injuries that raise questions about their ongoing longevity.

Just don't try telling that to Rose, who joined the Knicks after spending his first eight seasons with his hometown Chicago Bulls, where he became the youngest player in league history to earn MVP honors.

 "With these teams right now, they're saying us and Golden State are the super teams, and they're trying not to build that many super teams, and Adam Silver came out with the statement and this and that," he said soon after his being shipped to the Knicks became official.

Veteran Roster Motivated

 "You've got Brandon (Jennings) who just signed for one year, he's got to show why he's there. I've got to show why I'm there. Joakim (Noah) has to show why he's there," Rose said. "Everybody's trying to prove themselves."

With the Knicks bevy of veterans being as motivated as they are to prove themselves all over again, Rose's words may not be as off base as some have pronounced them. Certainly, things figure to be better than last year's 32-50 finish.
