‘Chicago PD’ Season 4 Spoilers – The Promo & Release Date: Lindsay and Voight’s Relationship on the Rocks [WATCH VIDEO]
NBC released a new promo video for the upcoming premiere of “Chicago P.D.” Season 4 where Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) may have to decide between her relationship with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) and her career as a police officer.
Chicago PD Season 4 Promo
“This intelligence unit serves the city without recognition for its bravery,” the head of police says in a press conference at the start of the promo for “Chicago P.D.” Season 4.
In the next clip, Voight has on his bullet proof vest saying, “We do whatever it takes.”
Is he going to straighten up in Season 4? At the end of Seaon 3, Voight was caught committing vigilantism and speculation says his reckless behavior may cost him a promotion as head of intelligence.
In the last scene of the "Chicago P.D." Season 4 promo, Lindsay talks to a little girl telling her, “He’s never gonna hurt anybody again.”
Will the officer make a break in a big case? At one point in the promo, a group of people stood in a vigil for someone. Will the Chicago P.D. find a well sort out killer?
Lindsay and Voight
Meanwhile, Lindsay and Voight will have to patch things up in their relationship after she found her mentor burying his son’s killer, or at least it looked like it. After Voight told her to flee the scene, Lindsay has to decide what to do.
If she tells on Voight, she risks a relationship with someone she deeply cares about and looks up to. Voight was also there for her when she went on a downward spiral after losing her friend at the end of Season 2.
If Lindsay does not tell on Voight, then she becomes an accessory to murder and risks everything she worked so hard for.
Lindsay Turns to Halstead
In the break of her world almost tumbling down, Lindsay will turn to her boyfriend Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Sofer) for guidance.
“Jay is really the one person that she has in the world that she can trust who is safe,” Bush tells Entertainment Weekly. “That finale moment with Voight is a reminder that while Voight has been a stabilizing factor in her life, at this moment he is not stable, he’s not a person who is going to bring any safety in her world.”
The couple will take their relationship to a new level and move in together. In one scene of the Season 4 promo, we see Lindsay and Halstead in each other’s arms.
“Chicago P.D.” Season 4 premieres on NBC Wednesday Sept. 21 at 10 p.m. ET. Stay tuned.
