[Spoiler Alert!] With Narcos Season 2 well running on its course, fans of the show can't help but be excited for what's to come. The show has already been renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 but before we move forward, we need to go back. Let's talk about Pablo Escobar and the impact that season 2 will leave behind.

Escobar killed a lot of men but that didn't stop rivals from targeting him. Though untouchable for quite some time, eventually Escobar was murdered in 1993. Well, some say murdered and others say it was suicide; the story isn't quite pin pointed. Even long after his death, aspects of his life remain a mystery. Untouchable, for sure.


Escobar, though a major drug kingpin and murderer, he loved his family dearly. Until his last day, he protected them and most of his last fights took place so they wouldn't have to be caught in the crossfire. But though he loved them dearly, he choose his business over them. When Pablo escaped from jail, he could have walked away from the business as he was very well off but he choose to keep going. If he hadn't, his life would have progressed a lot differently.

Escobar was one wealthy man. At the height of his empire, he fortuned AUD $42 billion. How does one man do so much with so many people after him all the time? One can only imagine.

The government and the police were as crooked as Escobar at one point. With Colombia crumbling down all around them, they couldn't help but step outside the lines when it came down to catching up to Escobar. But the faster they ran so did he and they had to step on many others while on the way. One of the Colombian policemen worked closely with Los Pepes, who were after Escobar during his last days alive.

Once Escobar is caught up with and no longer a source of income to his wife and kids, Tata, along with her kids, eventually move to Argentina and change their names. Later on she is arrested for money laundering but the charges are dismissed. She is never heard of after 1999.

Narcos portrayed the story of Escobar, the Medellin Cartel and DEA Agents -- Steve Murphy & Javier Pena -- in a 50-50 way. 50% fiction and 50% nonfiction. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the real DEA agents previously tried to work with others to tell their story but it never worked out. But then they met showrunner, Eric Newman, and they felt that he would do the perfect job at telling their story. And so far he has. "We told them how it actually happened," Pena told The Hollywood Reporter. "There's some artistic licenses, but the timeline is accurate."

Season 2 of Narcos will leave you with a lingering feeling for more. It will leave you with a yearning to learn more about Pablo Escobar but it will setup the perfect storyline for season 3. Narcos season 2, will give viewers an insight into the Colombian drug world and how much suffering that country survived as a whole.

Though very much glorified, the drug trafficking in Colombia is still very real. It's only right that the story behind the names are told. It's only right that we all know the truth. With that being said, season 3 will be released on Netflix in mid-2017. Though Escobar will no longer be apart of the show, there is so many more stories to tell. It is said that the producers of Narcos will be focusing on the Cali Drug Cartel.

 If you're unfamiliar with the Cali Cartel, they were the Rodríguez Orejuela brothers, Gilberto and Miguel, and José Santacruz Londoño, whom broke away from Escobar and the Medellin in the 1980s. The Cali Cartel had control over 90% of the world's cocaine market and by the mid-90s, they were a multibillion-dollar enterprise. That is a lot more than Escobar's operation so it is only imaginable that season 3 could be as action-packed and interesting as the current season.
