Algeria and Cameroon face off in the CAF World Cup qualifiers on Sunday.

Group B is arguably the toughest in the qualifying stage with three teams capable of qualifying for the tournament and likely being favorites in other groups.

Both Cameroon and Algeria were in the 2014 World Cup, with varying results.
Cameroon's performance in Brazil was disastrous with in-fighting and poor performances on the pitch leaving the team as the worst in the tournament. The team had finished 31st four years earlier and has, with the exception of its quarterfinals appearance in 1990 finished in the group stage in each of the seven times it has participated in the tournament.

Algeria managed to get out of the group stage last tournament but was eliminated by eventual Champion Germany. Algeria has appeared in four World Cups.

Only one team from each group manages to qualify for the showpiece in Russia in 2018.
