Miley Cyrus: Justin Bieber is 'Stupid'; Tells Star to Take Break from Spotlight
Miley Cyrus has just called Justin Bieber "stupid." No, the "We Can't Stop" singer wasn't picking a fight with the Biebs, she was merely giving advice to the problematic pop star.
In a recent interview with Britain's The Sun, the 20-year-old superstar had some words of wisdom for friend Justin, who has been in a series of controversies and bad publicity lately. According to Miley, JB needs to get off the radar for a while.
"I told Justin to take a bit of time out and people aren't so obsessed with you and nitpick."
Miley's advice comes after another scandalous move by the "All Around the World" singer, when he was caught on tape urinating at a mop bucket at the back of a restaurant. In the same footage retrieved by TMZ, an intoxicated Justin was seen shooting a water spray on an image of former president Bill Clinton, then saying "F**k Bill Clinton." Bieber later apologized for the incident on Twitter.
"When you're not around, all they want is your music. They want to see what the next thing is. But when your music is out they just want to talk s**t about you," Miley said.
The former Disney Channel star also had her share of bad blood with the media. Miley, who shot to fame as clean-cut Hannah Montana, stirred controversy when a video of her smoking salvia through a bong made rounds online. From then on, numerous rumors and reports of her questionable behavior have hit the web.
"When you're a worldwide star, everyone sees everything. Lots of people make a video and put it on Instagram, some people might think it's funny but because it's Justin Bieber, it's really bad," Miley told the news site.
According to the singer, everyone does "dumb stuff," but because of the nature of their job, everything they do is always under a magnifying glass.
"If it was your friend pissing into a mop box then you would be laughing, but because it's Justin Bieber, then it's really bad."
Having been through what JB is going through right now, Miley says the best thing to do aside from giving the media lens a rest, is not to talk about the controversy.
"I always tell him just to be cool and not talk about it because when you talk it fuels the fire. He's still stupid though. But everyone does dumb stuff when they are messed up, and he's done dumb stuff."
