Iceland and Turkey face off in the World Cup Qualifiers 2018 on Sunday.

Even when they look down and out, Iceland seems to never go away. The team that turned heads at the Euro 2016 this past summer was in dire straits at home, losing 2-1 against Finland on Thursday. It was extra time of the second half and the result was imminent. And yet in the span of five minutes the team reversed course and scored twice to manage a dramatic 2-1 win that gave the team a needed three points with the group ever tight.

Turkey has just two points after a 2-2 draw with the Ukraine; the Turks were down 2-0 at one point and battled back for the draw.

Only one team manages automatic qualification for the World Cup from each UEFA qualifying group. The second place team must do battle with another second place team in a two-legged playoff for a chance to compete in Russia.

Who Wins? Prediction

Iceland looks too good right now to be stopped. Look for them to put together a solid 2-1 win at home after a confidence-boosting win over Finland.
