"Van Helsing " Renewed For Second Seasons By Syfy
Syfy is working to take another challenge out of their 2017 schedule , as "Van Helsing" has been renewed for the second season. The hour-long drama premiered on September 23 and will return for 13 all-new episodes in January 2017. The announcement was made by "Van Helsing" series producer Nomadic Pictures and distributor Dynamic Television.
"We're so pleased to announce a second season of "Van Helsing" and extend our terrific partnership with Syfy and the phenomenal cast, crew and writer's," added Daniel March, Managing partner, Dynamic Television.
Syfy has renewed "Van Helsing" just four episodes into its debut season, and the production of the season n will begin in January 2017, as reported by Deadline.
"We have a wonderful and terrifying road ahead planned for Vanessa, her allies,and her enemies" said Van Helsing writer Neil LaBute, according to iMDb.
After a catastrophic volcanic eruption, the last remaining underground vampires rise up through a dark, ash-filled sky to overtake America. Vanessa Van Helsing ( Kelly Overton ), a descendant of the legendary line of vampire hunters , awakens from three-year coma and discover that she is not only immune to the bloodthirsty predators - but also has the ability to make them human again. Van Helsing is a total re-imagination of the timeless Dracula brand and stars Overton, Jonathan Scarfe, David Cubitt, Christopher Heyerdahl, Rukiya Bernard, Vincent Gale, Aleks Paunovic, Trezzo Mahoro, and Paul Johansson.
The "Van Helsing" TV series follows Vanessa Van Helsing , played by Hugh Jackman in the 2004 movie. "Van Helsing" is a 2004 dark fantasy action-adventure film directed by Stephen Sommers.
"Van Helsing" second season is produced by Nomadic Pictures, with Syfy as co -producer. The executive producers of this series are Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev from Nomadic pictures. Showrunner/writer LaBute, Simon Barry, Evan Tyler, David Brown, Zadoc Angell (Echo Lake Entertainment) and Daniel March (Dynamic Television).
Dynamic Television is responsible for worldwide distribution of the series.
