With the Major League Baseball's World Series on Oct 10, the Toronto Blue Jay's managed to stay alive and win the game to keep their finals hopes alive with a  5-1 victory over the Cleveland Indians. The Indians were denied a four-game sweep by The Blue Jays in the best of seven  American League Championship Series, which will send the winners into a title playoff with either the Chicago Cubs or the Los Angeles Dodgers.

As per reports from Fox News, The Chicago Cubs continued to struggle and are trying to end a World series drought  that stretches back to 1908, but slipped up with a 6-0 loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers, who grabbed a two-games-to-one lead in the National League Championship Series.

Rapplers reported, in Toronto, Josh Donaldson hit a home run, Edwin Encarnacion drove in two runs and Aaron Sanchez pitched 6 strong innings for the Blue Jays, who handed Cleveland their first defeat of the post-season. Ezequiel Carrera singled in a run in the fourth to put Toronto up 2-0.

To trim the deficit, Robert Perez doubled in a run for Cleveland with bases loaded in the bottom, to give Toronto a 4-1 lead. Cleveland's shortstop said that the Blue Jays hit, pitched and  played defense better today, so they deserved to win.

On Wednesday, Toronto host game five and the Cleveland Indians were aiming to secure their first World Series since 1997 but failed. The last time Cleveland won was back in 1948. On the same night, the Cleveland Cavaliers will raise their championship banner on the opening night of the new NBA season - the first crown for any Cleveland sports team in 50 years.

Toronto's Donaldson said it was an uphill battle to win the series as they're still down three games to one. They will continue to go and handle the game. The Cubs seem to have struggled a lot in the playoffs since winning game one against the Dodgers for the first time since May 2014.
