Space Jam 2 might star LeBron James
Loony Tunes has sure been missed since the release of "Space Jam", and it looks like the sequel to Loony Tunes movie "Space Jam 2" is still on the make. For a long time, LeBron James has wanted to make the movie, but Hollywood has kept its production a secret from their fans. There is still no certain release date for "Space Jam 2", or any indication at all of when it's coming. But, it looks like the writer and the director are on the roll to try and get this movie out soon with Lebron on board.
According to E! News, fans were split on the addition of LeBron James to the cast, with Le Bron fans ecstatic, while others were not so happy. He is to play a similar role to that played by the inimitable Michael Jordan in the original "Space Jam". James seems a good fit considering his recent performance in Trainwreck but many fans are not so sure. However, Warner Bros. Entertainment have already announced a deal with James, so it seems he's in for the sequel.
For two years the rumors of a planned Space Jam 2 have been circulating, and rumblings grew louder last year. These rumblings were apparently confirmed when the Hollywood Reporter said the project was officially moving forward. The writers of the movie are Andrew Dodge and Alfredo Botello and talks are underway with the "Star Trek Beyond" director Justin Lin to helm the movie. There is active work on "Space Jam 2" with production in the early stages of development.
The original "Space Jam" starred Michael Jordan who played a basketball star recruited to deal with the aliens who invaded the world of Looney Tunes. They attempt to combat and beat the aliens in a basketball challenge of which they put Jordan on the list. The fans won't have long to wait for Porky Pig and Daffy Duck's antics alongside LeBron James in the sequel. Hopefully they can get Bill murray to cameo again.
