There's only three more weeks left until fans can indulge in the comedic goodness of "Orange Is The New Black."

Though it feels like forever since we've been waiting for the June 6 premiere of "OITNB," we're almost there. And according to "OITNB" actress, Laverne Cox, the new season is well worth the wait.

"I watched our show like a fan so I can't wait for everybody to see that, because that is like, people's minds are going to be blown. I think. Oh my god! It's so good, I wish I could tell people," said Cox to MTV News.

On the show, Cox plays Sophia Burset, the African-American transgender woman who works as a hairdresser for the prison inmates.

Cox's character has been instrumental in bringing light, knowledge, and awareness to the transgender community.

While making campus visits on her current college tour, Cox addressed the outpour of support she's received from students as well as transgender teens who look up to Cox as a source of inspiration.

"Trans students have said; now I can have a point of reference when I talk about who I am," Cox revealed. "I got a letter from a young, from a trans youth's mother who said that he transitioned because of me and because of seeing me on the show it gave him the courage to talk to his parents about who he was and they're supportive and loving and now he's started his transition. It's insane. It's really beautiful."

Cox plans to continue inspiring transgender youth with her MTV/Logo special coming out this fall titled, "Trans Teen: The Documentary."

The special is set to air on both Logo and MTV and will focus on the lives of four trans youths in the U.S. who deal with the ups and downs of living as a transgender teen in their communities.

Cox will be host and executive producer of the one-hour special. Will you be watching?
