Pokémon Black 2, White 2 Super Music Collection Released: Hoenn's 'Emerald' Music Included for $9.99
Following news of the third-generation video game remakes, The Pokémon Company International launched the latest "Super Music Collection" featuring tunes from "Pokémon Emerald Version."
The latest soundtrack collection is music from the fifth generation's "Pokémon Black 2 Version" and "Pokémon White 2 Version." Known as "Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2: Super Music Collection," the album features 124 songs from the Unova-based region.
Music from the soundtrack collection includes the distinctive gym themes such as Virbank City Gym by Koffing and The Toxics to the three variants heard in Nimbasa City Gym led by Electric-type specialist Elisa. In addition, the revamped Gym Leader and Pokémon League Champion battle themes from Kanto to Sinnoh can be heard courtesy of the introduction of the Pokémon World Tournament. The new Unova Pokémon League Champion Iris's theme can also be purchased.

The latest "Super Music Collection," however, is not exclusive to tunes from "Pokémon Black 2 Version" and "Pokémon White 2 Version," as songs from "Pokémon Emerald Version" and "Pokémon Platinum Version" are included.
From the "Pokémon Emerald Version" songs, tunes include the Hoenn region's Battle Frontier, Title Screen, Rayquaza's appearance, and battle against Mew. For "Pokémon Platinum Version," songs include Looker's Theme, Giratina's theme, and Sinnoh's Battle Frontier, to name a few.
In total, 173 songs are included in the latest "Super Music Collection" and can be purchased together for $9.99. If a consumer prefers to purchase select songs, it will cost $0.99 each.
The release of "Pokémon Black 2 & Pokémon White 2: Super Music Collection" comes almost a month after "Pokémon Black & Pokémon White: Super Music Collection" launched in April. The music collection from previous generations and the one succeeding the fifth generation have already been released, from "Pokémon X & Pokémon Y: Super Music Collection," "Pokémon FireRed & Pokémon LeafGreen: Super Music Collection," "Pokémon HeartGold & Pokémon SoulSilver: Super Music Collection," "Pokémon Ruby & Pokémon Sapphire: Super Music Collection," and "Pokémon Diamond & Pearl."
"Pokémon Black 2 Version" and "Pokémon White 2 Version" video games originally launched on Oct. 7, 2012, across North America and have sold 7.81 million copies worldwide during its first three months. The games were the first direct sequels to the video game franchise, set two years after the original "Pokémon Black Version" and "Pokémon White Version." The games featured the same starter Pokémon but three new gym leaders and Pokémon League Champion with Iris, former gym leader in "White Version."
The release of the latest "Super Music Collection" comes days after the newest trailer for "Pokémon Omega Ruby Version" and "Pokémon Alpha Sapphire Version" was released. The games are remakes of the first two third-generation video games based in the Hoenn region. The new games will be released for the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo 2DS platforms in November.
