Microsoft Surface Studio specs, features and price vs Apple iMac
In a very bold move, Microsoft has launched a unique and innovative device called Surface Studio. The 28-inch device is company's first all-in-one Windows 10 desktop. The device is apparently seems to made for artists, designers and the art lovers . The device works as both ways, a desktop, when it mounted on the pair of zero gravity hings and can be turned into studio mode by folding it down.
The Surface Studio comes with 10- point multitouch and with two devices, a Surface Pen and the Surface Dial. The most unique among them is Surface Dial, According to Pocket-lint , it is a small metal puck that can be placed against the screen and rotated.
In terms of viewing, Surface studio has a 4,500 x 3,000 resolution display, which is an absolute beauty. The screen also has also two modes, a wide DCI-P3 color and sRGB, the user can switch from one mode to another with pressing the button. This feature helps the users to see how their project will appear on other devices. Company also brings the virtual reality gear for this device.
It runs on the sixth-generation Intel Core i5 with 8GB of RAM and with 1-TB internal storage. It also has 3-D paint software and users can make -D stuff like, 3-D PowerPoint presentations.
According to official Microsoft website the price of Surface Studio starts from $2,999.
The device has a direct competition with the Apple iMac. Both the devices stand in high-end PC segment. In terms of design, Apple and Microsoft has close battle but with brilliant adjustable qualities, Surface Studio has edge over the Apple's device.
In terms of display iMac features 5K display with 217 ppi while Surface studio has 28-inch pixel sense display with 192 ppi.
The battle is close but both the devices have different set of customers and if you love creativity then Surface Studio are a better choice.
