Michael Douglas revealed that his friend and former co-star Val Kilmer is battling against cancer after months speculation over the Kilmer's health. There are several reports that the Douglas was in London for the entire weekend participating in Q&A about his 1996 film "The Ghost and the Darkness" with Kilmer, 56. The actor gives new details in his former co-star Val Kilmer's health.

Douglas said to host Jonathan Ross that the picture didn't turn out well but he had a wonderful time. Val was a great guy who's dealing exactly what he had and things don't look good for him and saying his prayers are with him. In the year 2010, Michael Douglas fights throat cancer and was declared cancer-free in January 2011 after undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment, The Huffington Post has reported.

"I had a complication where the best way to receive care was to  stay  under the watchful eye of the UCLA ICU," Kilmer wrote on his facebook. "Friends have assisted who know my spiritual convictions and have been most sensitive and kind for the extra effort in making sure there are minimum gossip and silly talk."

 As the report did not stop pleading over his health, on October 25, Kilmer denied again that he was ill and continuing his hospitalization is untrue and added that there is no infection or tumor. But the "Batman Forever'' actor noticed having a tracheostomy tube around his neck in December 2015 and continued covering his neck with bandanas and scarves when out in public, E! News has reported.

But February this year, Kilmer posted photos in his social media without any medical devices or scarf around his neck. A rep of Douglas has released a statement and said that "Douglas hasn't spoken to Val over a year so if he doesn't have any cancer, great. Michael said in his interview and qualified that he hasn't spoken with him in a long time and wished him the best."

In January 2015 the speculation started about the health of Kilmer when the actor has been admitted for the reason of bleeding from his throat and believed that the star underwent surgery because of the incident. This speculation had been denied by the actor for having a surgery, tumor or any related matter.
