Taylor Swift Leaves Massive Tip in Philadelphia
Taylor Swift has made another dream come true. The star known for granting the dreams and wishes of her fans has created buzz again after giving an enormous tip at an Italian Restaurant.
According to E! News, the "22" singer dined out with her tour buddies Ed Sheeran and Austin Mahone at Ralph's Italian Restaurant in Philadelphia, Penn. last Friday. It would have been a normal dinner out if not for the restaurant's head chef, who knows T. Swift too well.
"I called my mom to tell her Swift was there, and she wanted me to take a picture because she is a big fan," head chef Shawn Gallo told the entertainment news site. "My son has autism, and while I'm at work my mom and my son love to listen to her music. He loves her music!"
Swift was nothing but a darling to the whole staff of the restaurant, even posing for a picture with chef and the resto staff.
Ralph's Italian Restaurant owner, Edward Rubino, told Yahoo! Music that the singer was "profoundly accommodating and very approachable."
But the night didn't end with a picture and Swift's chicken Parmesan plate; the star surprised the chef with two tickets to her concert the following night.
"It was so kind-hearted of her," Gallo shared. "My son Shawnee is 11. It was my son and I's first concert we've ever been to! It was really special."
After Taylor and her crew's dinner, which ended at 2 a.m. Yahoo! Music noted, the singer who is currently touring the U.S. covered the $800 bill and left a little more than normal. T.S. gave a whopping $500 tip. Wow! Could she be any kinder?
The singer then left with her entourage through the back door due to the crowd that had gathered in front of Ralph's.
