'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Latest Spoilers: Sansa, Next Mad Queen? Sophie Turner Warns Power Trip, Insecurity
From a teenage girl that is head over heels Joffrey Baratheon in the first season of "Game of Thrones," Sansa Stark has undeniably grown into a woman upon scheming her ways to survival and eventually reclaiming her house alongside her bastard brother, Jon Snow. As such, actress Sophie Turner warns fans about the possible power trip of her character in the upcoming seventh season of the medieval fantasy series.
Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Turner teased Sansa's storyline: "She's seemingly in control for the first time - and it really suits her. She's kind of having a bit of power trip. But she's also becoming more insecure because there are threats to the power that she holds."
Judging from the previous turn of events in the earlier seasons, "Game of Thrones Season 7" will likely see Sansa taking control of her own. As a recap, Sansa witnessed the death of her father and the monstrosity of her first love and was then forced to marry not just one, but two men to keep her head intact on her shoulder. The biggest turning point, however, for Sansa is her marriage to abusive Ramsay Bolton.
Enjoying the power she trips into, "Game of Thrones Season 7" might just see an evil Sansa who will step no bounds to retain herself in power. As speculated by Tripped Media, Sansa could take advantage of her allies specifically her brother, Jon, who was just proclaimed as the King of the North, and of course, the ever-scheming Little Finger.
The media outlet further noted that the House Vale might merge with the House Stark to form a strong and united bond and will hail Sansa as the Queen of the North. The queen that fans will see, however, is a tyrant, and possibly sport the face of the Mad Queen.
Cut to barely seven episodes, "Game of Thrones Season7" is scheduled to premiere in summer of 2017. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
