NBA Trade Rumors: Ricky Rubio To Kings? Rudy Gay To Lakers? Zach LaVine to be traded by Timberwolves?
This time both players are mentioned but with different team to move, different reasons and different players to get traded with.
Two months ago Ricky Rubio was rumored going in to Sacramento Kings in exchange for Ty Lawson. It was said that Ty Lawson that time acted unbecoming by missing the flight of the team to Kentucky for preseason game, plus Lawson's career for the last year has been shaky. That made Sacramento Kings determined to pursue the trade. But some more important things went to be considered the delayed the trade.
For the Kings, this trade this time may be beneficial since it would give the team a partner for DeMarcus Cousins and maximize rotation of big men. But the reason for the trade is different as iTech Post said that Rubio himself asked his team to be traded and he expressed desire in moving to Sacramento Kings. Rubio cited that his team lacks progress while he is on its roster. Timberwolves also is thinking of pursuing the trade since it has used Kris Dunn as point guard and they may let Dunn handle the lead guard task for the team.
Who's going in for Rubio? Although Dunn may handle his position in the team but Yibada, it might be Rudy Gay who possibly will move in for him. It is also said that if the deal would be pursued would give the Timberwolves an elite two-way player and a veteran wing who could lead the team's pack of young talents.
Although this rumor sounds good for Timberwolves but Rudy Gay is also rumored being eyed by LA Lakers. Two months ago forward Gay has been heard moving to Miami Heat but talks were not settled. This time Lakers wants a powerful small forward that matches with Gay's quality they want to move out Luol Deng from their fence. Let's just wait who would get Gay.
Another trade being rumored involves Zach LaVine. Some media outlets and Timberwolves president and head coach Tom Thibodeau were heard that this is because LaVine wanted to be traded with a veteran NBA player to boost the team's roster.
It was reported that moving to other teams would also benefit LaVine since there is still much skills to develop with him.
