In an interview for Mariah's World premier party, Bryan Tanaka revealed that he's always had feelings for the "All I Want for Christmas is You" singer, according to E Online. Tanaka added that he and Mariah have been friends for years as the two have been in a professional relationship for what seems like more than a decade.

Tanaka adds that he and Mariah were fated to reconnect again following their "mutual admiration" in the past. Mariah responded with a little insight about how she feels about Tanaka and stated that their reconnection was "nice" as it stemmed from previous working relationships in the past. Prior to the interview, Tanaka and Carey were spotted during a Hawaiian vacation and the two were photographed kissing in the water.

When the "I'll Be There" singer was asked whether she and Tanaka were in a relationship, Mariah shyly said to tune into her docu-series Mariah's World to know more.

The outlet alleges that Packer may also have formed his resentment against Tanaka when Mariah gave the backup dancer a faux lap dance on stage to "heal" his injured leg. Additionally, while on the Sweet Sweet Fancy tour, Mariah, Tanaka and the rest of the crew apparently spent their time together off work which may have further fueled Packer's rage.
