Sony fans will be very happy to hear that some of the latest Xperia mobiles are getting Android Nougat updates. These Android updates will be sent Over The Air by the carrier, and here's how to check the update is ready or not.
To check this latest update, head to the setting menu of your Xperia phone and scroll to the bottom to the "about phone" section, tap that and then poke Software update at the very top of the new menu.
While swiping the finger from left across the screen anyone can easily get into the System Updates section. This is where the new Android Nougat update will appear. If the phone says 'your device already has the latest system update', it means the phone isn't ready for the upgrade yet. Try again later morning time will be the best time to check the updates.
If the update is ready then it will show a download window from where anyone can download and install it immediately. Important note phone need to have at least 50 percent battery life to update, even Xperia XZ, X Compact or X Performance is plugged in.
One should need to keep in mind that the memory is free over one-gigabyte space to download and install the Nougat update. The update is so big that it's a better idea to connect the device to Wi-Fi to download the file without killing the data allowance.
Once the download has finished, the update will automatically install. When the phone reboots, it will be on Android Nougat.
There are a few other cool new features too, including Smart Unlock with facial recognition. And the Xperia X Performance now has full manual controls, including manual focus and shutter speed control.
