'Red Dead Redemption 2' Latest News: Game faces imminent delay?; Rockstar to roll out online multiplayer experience
While RockStar has already confirmed the release date of "Red Dead Redemption 2" to be in Fall 2017, critics and gamers alike are wary that something might go wrong with the game and might be delayed. The Western-themed game is predicted not to arrive next year due to some complications.
Considering that Rockstar games are known to spend three years of working on their games, just as with the second installment of the "Red Dead Redemption" franchise, the gaming community expects that the development is progressing well. As per the own words used by The Fresno Bee, however, "Big budget games whose announcement videos make my heart go pitter-patter get delayed 95 percent of the time. Rockstar said it will be ready in the second half of 2017, but something will come up."
Knock on wood, the report suggested that "Red Dead Redemption 2" could possibly experience some glitches that might prompt Rockstar to delay launching the game rather than risk releasing a bad one. On the other hand, Take-Two Interactive Software has high hopes for the game.
Even Cowen analyst Doug Creutz noted that, as per Investor's Business Daily: "We believe that with fiscal 2017 results largely derisked due to the strong performances of 'NBA 2K17' and 'Mafia 3,' the case for owning the stock ahead of what we expect to be a very successful 'Red Dead Redemption 2' launch in fall 2017, and a significant uptick in fiscal 2018 EPS, is very straightforward."
The fate of "Red Dead Redemption 2" is yet to unfold but Rockstar will be bringing the game into a wider platform.TTWO has purchased a domain name for the game which will give the experience of online multiplayer.
The original game was released in 2010 only on Xbox 360 and PS3 but the upcoming one is expected to roll out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Rockstar is also expected to improve the interactivity of the game's non-playable characters.
Watch out for the release of "Red Dead Redemption 2" in the fall of 2017. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!
