Bill Cosby’s New Move to Evade Punishment: Going for a Plea Deal
Bill Cosby, the comedian accused of multiple sex crimes, is allegedly going to file a plea to evading prison time. The trial in the court is all set to proceed in June. The County District Attorney's Office in Montgomery denied granting any plea. Andrew Wyatt, the spokesman of Cosby also refused to make any statement on the matter.
The 79-year-old actor is facing a court trial for three counts of felony aggravated sexual assault of a former student of the Temple University, Andrea Constand. The alleged incident took place in 2004. Presently he is free on a bail of one million dollars.
In a civil lawsuit that took place more than a decade ago, the actor made a shocking testimony confessing the crime and also admitting that he has raped 50 women having them intoxicated before sexual involvement; some of those women have given public statements against him, reported Mail Online.
Cosby made the deposition on the condition of not being charged, but a judge of Pennsylvania has decreed that the statement will be used in the next judicial proceeding. The judge has argued that there was no legal guarantee of his not being charged and there is no legal barrier in using the statement during the court proceedings. The prosecutors plan to ask thirteen women to come and give a statement for supportive evidence.
According to Perez Hilton, the District Attorney will bring Cosby's age under consideration along with his health status. It can also be considered that he has made pecuniary compensation to the victim and this incident has brought an end to his shining career.
Cosby, who was once called 'America's Dad', cries racism behind his trial and punishment. Bill and the members of his family are quite sure about the fact that he cannot be spared by the Jury, revealed a close source; they earnestly hope that he will be granted just a punishment of probation.
