Sevilla vs. Barcelona Live Stream, Score, Preview, Predictions: La Liga BBVA 2013-14
There was a time when most thought that Barcelona would run away with the Spanish League title.
Despite Atletico Madrid's strong play, many felt that Los Colchoneros would fade away as they did in 2012-13. However, Atletico Madrid has proven everyone wrong. And now Barcelona has to not only added Real Madrid to their worries, but must also thoroughly examine where they stand in the race. Blaugrana will get a chance to start that analysis on Sunday when it visits Sevilla in a crucial Spanish League match.
Not to put too much pressure on Los Cules, but with 54 points Barcelona is third in the Spanish League and a full three points back of the two rival Madrid sides. A win over Sevilla for Barcelona would put them into a tie with their rivals for the top spot with a game against each side pending; one of those matches is away to Real Madrid and the final game of the season comes at home against Atletico.
But first up is Sevilla, a team looking to climb into a spot among Spain's six best teams.
"The match against Sevilla is probably the most difficult we have left," said Barcelona manager Gerardo Martino, according to Goal.com. "It is crucial and will have hugely positive or negative impact on our future.
"We need to not think about [Atletico and Real Madrid] and focus on making ourselves stronger, thinking only about football. There's a long way to go in La Liga, still."
Can Barcelona defeat Sevilla?
Prediction: The two sides draw 1-1.
