Windows 10 1607 Patch KB 3206632 Believes To Fix The Microsoft's Pushed Update That Caused To Broke Internet Connection
Many are concerned and maybe wondering why there were two updates in just one week. Need not worry as the Microsoft has silently fixed the update that has been first released last week and may cause to prevent the users from joining a local network or connecting to the internet.
Microsoft has pushed an update last week to Windows 10 that have caused to broke the DHCP and some offline users knocked not until they rebooted their system. The update KB 3201845 was released on December 9, the latest update and was believed to be part of the cumulative update.
Multiple Europeans users have reported that they have being kicked offline. It is still vague if the problem was in Europe alone but Microsoft displayed a global banner that stated all users that have connectivity and internet problems should restart their hardware. December 13, Microsoft released KB 3206632 which believed to might fixed the issue. In the new patch, there is a note stating "Addressed a service crash in Connected Devices Platform Service (CDPSVC)."
According to Extreme Tech, the CDPSVC stated: "This service is used for Connected Devices and Universal Glass scenarios." But both ways, the update just broke Window's availability to configure DHCP or the Dynamic Host Communication Protocol. The protocol enables to distributes the network configuration data to all devices on the network and handles assigning IP addresses.
Microsoft seems to sustain this kind of mistakes and become almost a regular part of the Windows 10 update as it was remembered for the last 12 months, multiple updates that literally bricked systems, cause random crashes even for ordinary USB devices plugged in the system, and broke the internet connectivity. No to count the malware activity of the "Get Windows 10" campaign.
Moreover, this is not the first time the company has pushed a patch just to resolve the issues caused by the previous update. This kind of problems eventually hits Apple and Linux users as well. Overall, Windows 10 gets most of the weird cases.
According to PC World, some other users already reported that KB 3206632 cannot fix all the problems occurred in Windows 10 and couldn't still fix the connection issues but still, get a new update and download the update.
Microsoft still hasn't announced or given any substantive changes according to its policies that would literally close these gaps.
