Liverpool vs. Arsenal Live Stream, Score, Preview, Predictions: EPL 2013-14
The wait is over. Arsenal and awill face off in arguably the most important match of each team's season.
Liverpool sits in fourth place in the Premier League with 47 points while Arsenal is the top side with 55 points; Chelsea and Manchester City are in tie for second with 53.
A win here for Liverpool would put them within five of first place and further consolidate their spot in the top-four; that would give them a chance at the Champions league next season.
Arsenal won the first meeting between these two sides at home, but will face a decidedly more difficult challenge at Anfield. Liverpool has compiled a record of 10 wins, one loss and one draw at home this year and has Luis Suarez and Daniel Sturridge leading the offense; both stars have combined for a whopping 37 goals this year.
"Our home form has been brilliant and that is vitally important for any team, especially a team who wants to be challenging at the top of the table," said Liverpool Coach Brendan Rodgers, according to ESPN. "We are going to go into each game looking to win the game. There is a greater confidence now.
"We want to win but what we can look to control is how we win and our performance level," he added. "That's something that over time has given us a confidence and a greater belief in winning games. We'll aim to replicate that at the weekend."
Can Arsenal continue atop the Premier League standings? Or is the descent going to start on Saturday?
Prediction: The teams tie 1-1.
