'One Piece: Gold' Film Update: Official Trailer Teased the Journey of Monkey D. Luffy and the Gang in Gran Tesoro
Fans of One Piece are now very excited as Funimation will be releasing "One Piece: Gold." The film is expected to hit the select theaters on January 10 - 17 2017, in Canada and the United States. The anime that is greatly loved by Japan will now venture into the theaters of North America.
The Funimation has finally recently released their official English-dubbed trailer for the diehard fans of One Piece in America. Though there hasn't been much information for the ticket sales as to when it will be available but there will be much more information about the specific showings.
According to the report obtained by Anime News Network, Joel McDonald is the director, the scriptwriter is Clint Bickham and engineer Matt Grounds.
Collen Clinkenbeard will play the character of Luffy, Luci Christian (Nami), Christopher R. Sabat (Zoro), Eric Vale (Sanji), Sonny Strait (Usopp), Brina Palencia (Chopper), Stephanie Young (Robin), and Patrick Seitz (Franky).
The trailer teases the Straw Hat Pirates - Monkey D. Luffy taking a tour of Gran Tesoro. As per the reported of Comicbook, the movie follows the gang of Luffy as they venture to the locale of Gran Tesoro. It is a wealthy place and an independent country where millionaires, known pirates are gathered to find sanctuary from the World Government. The emperor of the country was overpowered by his greed and is ready to make necessary actions to satisfy his desire for wealth. There begins the journey of the pirate Monkey D. Luffy and his members.
"One Piece: Gold" was first debuted in Japan in July 23rd and has ranked more than $49 million in different countries since it's released. The movie was first premiered in Abu Dhabi for some special event before it has been debut in Japan. The movie was directed by Hiroaki Miyamoto and was produced by Toei Animation.
As of September 8, 2016, the film has grossed about $48.8 million at the Japanese box office.
