UK Prime Minister Theresa May has revealed that she is a fan of BBC's "Doctor Who" show and looks forward to the Christmas special. Twelfth Doctor actor Peter Capaldi was surprised upon knowing this and had a few words to say to the PM.

Prime Minister May mentioned in a recent interview that she loves watching "Doctor Who" during Christmas and pair it with an Agatha Christie book.

When asked regarding the Prime Minster's fondness for the "Doctor Who" show, Twelfth Doctor actor Peter Capaldi said in a recent interview that he was surprised by her revelations. He added that in her watching of the show that she "take 'Doctor Who's' message of tolerance, kindness and compassion to heart," Mirror noted.

"Doctor Who" was rebooted in 2005 in the BBC and since it aired has been known to have a large following among fans including LGBT. The show is also known to feature numerous queer characters including Captain Jack Harkness, couple May and Alice Cassini, and even an interspecies relationship such as that of a Silurian and a human woman.

BBC airs a special "Doctor Who" Christmas Day episode every December. Capaldi who is in the show for three years in the running will be starring in the special Christmas episode entitled "The Return of Doctor Mysterio." The "Doctor Who" special will feature a superhero them and will be starred by Matt Lucas, Charity Wakefield and Justin Chadwick.

Capaldi said in the interview that he finds the people in the "Doctor Who" fandom nice. He feels that his role of being the Twelfth Doctor gives him a front row seat to how the fans feel about the show and their favorite Doctors, Radio Times notes. Capaldi has been on the show for an impressive three years and when asked when he'll stop being the Twelfth, he says he doesn't know but adds that he wants to stay a little bit longer.
