Matt Damon Likes Batman Suit for Upcoming 'Batman vs. Superman' Movie
For years Matt Damon and Ben Affleck have been closely associated with one another. The two actors are best friends and won an Oscar together back in 1998 for their screenplay for "Good Will Hunting." This closeness has remained throughout the years, so it is no surprise that Damon has received some insider sneak peeks of Affleck's next big project, "Batman vs. Superman." Damon recently revealed that he has already seen the suit.
"...I have seen a picture. It's excellent," he stated, according to Coming Soon before noting that he also knows the story of the movie. "And I've talked to him about the storyline, and it's great."
Damon went on to defend Affleck's controversial casting as Batman.
"Look I've known him for thirty-something years, I'd be the first guy being like 'Buddy, what are you doing?' but I think the movie is going to be great," he stated.
Affleck's casting news resulted in mass hysteria on the Internet and even a petition to have him removed from the cast. However, Afleck's casting has not been the only controversial casting decision for the upcoming film. A recent announcement of Jesse Eisenberg as a Lex Luthor was also met with derision as many had a hard time coming to terms with a youngster taking on the iconic bald-headed villain.
The film is slated for a 2016 release date and also stars Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince.
