The character of Mon-El and his past is still a mystery, but after the midseason break, fans of the series are now seeing Mon-El in a slightly different image. Reports suggest that Mon-El is going to tell something "secret" to Kara and it might do something with the aliens that after Mon-El. The character of Calista Flockhart's Cat Grant may also back next year.

After the nine episodes of Supergirl season 2, wherein viewers see Mon-El get drunk, flirting with girls, and simply doesn't do what he was supposed to do but everything changed when he was supposed to tell Kara a secret. According to the executive producer of the series, Andrew Kreisberg he stated, "secrets are never healthy in a relationship," he concluded when Mon-El clearly has hiding something "and obviously, Mon-El is holding onto something. We got a little taste that his life on Daxam is not yet over as we think just by the glimpse of the spacefarers."

Kreisberg further continued, "the spacefarers are on the hunt for him. So, it will surely play a big part in the relationship moving forward between him and Kara." According to the report of iDigitalTimes, the Supergirl season 2 episode 7 titled "The Darkest Place," wherein Mon-El was all ready to tell Kara a secret but not until they were interrupted by Jeremiah Danvers.

Fans of the series are now speculating the events and concluding theories after there were alien spacecraft that is approaching to Earth. So, the hottest theories of the fans are that Mon-El is the prince of Daxam and the upcoming spacecraft has something to do with him as he was the prince on their planet. When the executive producer was told by this he immediately stated, "Now comment."

Meanwhile, Cat Grant was not seen in season 2 when Supergirl confirmed that they will be moving into Vancouver. Fans all knew that she was not along with the plan but according to the report of Screen Crush, Flockhart may not be able to appear in season 2 but there is an ongoing talk between the production and Flockhart that she may come back in short-term in the spring, 2017.

Fans are now hoping that the character of Calista Flockhart - Cat Grant would appear before the season 2 ends. Supergirl wouldn't be Supergirl without her mentor.
