Apple updated Mac Book pro line with a courageous new design but didn't release any new desktop models. But the recent internal discussion of Apple CEO Tim Cook is speculated that Apple may be looking to ditch desktops from its lineup.
According to Bloomberg, Apple CEO, Time Cook during in an internal discussion to all the employees said," great desktops in our roadmap," adding that "nobody should worry about that".
As per the new report, Apple has been testing a lot of Mac Book features and designs recently, with many of the design being scrapped before the products finally hit the market.
The 2016 Mac Book Pro was supposed to have a higher capacity pack shaped to the insides of the laptop. But the battery prototype was failed and Apple has decided to stick with square cells instead, reported by BGR.
However, Apple had to deal with a battery life issue on the new Mac Book Pro, which seems to be fixed for the time being. Apple had diverted engineers from other teams, to fix the battery hardware issue.
The 2016 12-inch Mac Book model has featured with a touch ID fingerprints scanner, second USB-C port, faster chips, and a pink upgrade.
On the other hand, answering the question to employees Apple CEO Mr. Cook said the Mac desktop was very strategic for Apple.
On the feature of "great desktops" Apple said the desktop will pack a lot more performance -the largest screens, the most memory storage, a greater variety of I/O and fastest performance. This desktop will be really helpful.
Apple CEO Tim Cook reminded that the greatest differentiator was the culture and the people who were embedded with "change the world" attitude. The boldness of attitude is "good is not good enough".
Meanwhile, rumors of Apple business on a desktop has been discarded by CEO Tim Cook. So the Apple's desktop lover does have to wait until the final end.
