Victoria and David Beckham's Son Brooklyn Gets First Job at Coffee Shop
Victoria and David Beckham may be doing well financially, but their son Brooklyn Beckham has gotten his first part-time job.
Brooklyn, 15, works at a London coffee shop, reports Glamour UK. He works on weekends, where he has reportedly already completed several shifts.
He was encouraged by his parents to get the job to learn the value of money.
"Brooklyn has got the world at his fingertips and could have a life of luxury if he wanted," a source said. "But the lad is not that way inclined. Brooklyn and his three siblings (Romeo, 11, Cruz, 9, and Harper, 2) have all had a great start in life -- much better than most. But David and Victoria want them to know what hard work is like."
Last year, David Beckham opened up about his parenting style, saying that he and his wife have to hold back Brooklyn at times. He said that though his son wants to do certain things, it is just not possible.
Still, the duo try to give their children some freedoms.
"To be honest, with our children, we let them do 99 percent of the things they want to do because we want them to lead a normal life," he said.
The Beckhams returned to London on December 2012, where David Beckham spent his time between London and Paris. Beckham is now working on bringing a soccer team to Miami, so he is still as busy as ever.
He said that his children understand that he has work commitments.
"When you speak about the sacrifices, that's obviously the sacrifice that I have to make as a father and as a husband, being away from my family," he said. "... It's difficult being away from the children every single day. But they understand it, they understand that Daddy works hard."
