Lupita Nyong’o News & Twitter: '12 Years a Slave' Star Appears on Latin Sesame Street [Watch]
Is there anything that 31-year-old actress Luptia Nyong'o can't do?
Since becoming the breakout star of the Academy award winning film, "Twelve Years a Slave," Nyong'o has become an Academy Award, Golden Globe, BAFTA and SAG award-winning actress, and she's been named People Magazine's 2014 "Most Beautiful Woman In The World."
Her accomplishments don't stop there though.
Nyong'o has also been dominating the fashion scene this season, making countless numbers of best dressed lists that led to her becoming the face of Miu Miu's 2014 spring campaign and the new face of French cosmetics line, Lancome.
And for those of you who don't know, the "12 years a slave" is fluent in four languages, including Spanish. In her latest television appearance on "Plaza Sesamo," the Latin American version of "Sesame Street," Nyong'o channeled her Mexcian-Kenyan heritage to effortlessly take on the Spanish-language kids' show.
Beauty and brains? What a combo!
In the "Plaza Sesamo" episode, Nyong'o teaches its youthful viewers the importance of laughing and staying happy.
Colorlines translates the actress' intro as, "Hello, I'm Lupita. Today I want us to celebrate smile day," Nyong'o said in Spanish. "Do you know how to laugh? Why don't we laugh together? Ready, 1, 2, 3!"

Nyong'o later posted an Instagram photo of herself with a "Plaza Sesamo" character with the caption, "Hice algo pequeño en el Plaza Sésamo. Vean lo aquí: https://youtu.be/9bzyJIo23C4," which in English translates to, "I did something small on Sesame Street. See it here: https://youtu.be/9bzyJIo23C4"
Nyong'o may feel as though she "did something small" on Sesame Street, but her activism regarding black beauty continues to spread wide and inspire women all over the world.
In her now popular "Black Women In Hollywood" speech, Nyong'o eloquently spoke on the importance of inner beauty and self-acceptance.
"I hope that my presence on your screens and in the magazines may lead you, young girl, on a similar journey. That you will feel the validation of your external beauty but also get to the deeper business of being beautiful inside. There is no shade in that beauty."
It's exciting to see Nyong'o use her Hollywood success as a platform to inspire change and channel various outlets. What did you think of Nyongo's Plaza Sesamo debut? Share your comments with us below.
