Ashlee Simpson Stuns As Model For Sister Jessica's Clothing Line
Look out fall fashionistas, Jessica Simpson's Fall 2013 clothing line has just debuted, and she has decided to keep things in the family this time around. Ashlee Simpson was selected to model for the new collection, and her look turned heads at the launch event this past Tuesday.
"Jessica always wants me to be comfortable, so it was an honor that she had me do this and it's fun to work with my sister and family," said Ashlee in an interview with E!. "And if I say no or feel uncomfortable, she's like, 'Let her out of that outfit, she's not going to wear that.'"
Despite the physical resemblance between the two blonde bombshells, the personality and slant they bring to a photo shoot could not be more different. Just like their music careers, Jessica always went with a more traditionally feminine approach while Ashlee was unafraid to take on the rocker chic look.
"[Jessica's] a bit more girlie, and I kind of like to bring an edge to my looks. I do like to be in dresses, I just like to toughen it," Ashlee told People magazine. "We were all having a good time, kicking dirt in pretty dresses. They did tell us to look for ticks! And I was like, 'OK, I'm just going to roll in the dirt.'"
That dirt Ashlee was referring to was at the scene of most of the pictures taken for this year's line. Jessica opted to have a more rural, outdoorsy feel to her collection this year, and by the looks of it, that decision was wildly successful.
Ashlee was actually instrumental in a lot of the clothing line's operations this past month. Not only did she model for the collection, but she also hosted the official launch party which was held at Above Allen in New York City. Jessica definitely needed the help, she has had her hands full ever since giving birth to baby Ace, born Jun. 30.
"I have a pretty cool sister with an amazing sense of style, and I was honored to get to do the shoot," says Ashlee, who contributes to the tween line of Jessica's brand. "We keep it in the family. Jessica's a fun one to work with."
