Jodie Sweetin Rehab Rumors: Former Meth Addict and 'Full House' Star is Employee, Not Patient
Jodie Sweetin isn't in rehab; she's only at it.
The former child star who played Stephanie Tanner on "Full House" has had her share stints in rehab in the past. Sweetin struggled with meth, cocaine and ecstasy addiction as well as alcoholism for years both during and after the run of the popular sitcom.
But recent rumors that she's back in rehab shortly after her third divorce are false, she says. "I am absolutely NOT in rehab," Sweetin told TMZ. Instead, she's an employee. Sweetin says she's the clinical logistics coordinator for a rehab facility in Los Angeles.
Since her split with husband Morty Coyle, the facility has let her live in a studio apartment on the premises, she says. "I work for the center and they have been really generous in helping me with a place to stay as Morty wanted me out by the end of the month. The owners of the facility said I could stay here as I got things figured out."
Previously, Sweetin filed for sole custody of the couple's 2-year-old daughter, Beatrix. Now she says she's decided on joint custody, so Beatrix will have access to both of her parents.
Sweetin also has a 5-year-old daughter, Zoie, with ex-husband Cody Herpin. Prior to that, she was married to Shaun Holguin for four years. According to court documents, Sweetin claimed ownership of the 2000 Toyota Avalon she shared with Coyle and requested that they split a $200 balance on their Kohl's credit card.
In her 2009 memoir unSweetined, the actress revealed her history of methamphetamine and alcohol abuse.
