Emma Watson Twitter, Instagram & Graduation: 'Harry Potter' Star Graduates From Brown University
Beauty and brains? What a combo!
Emma Watson may have first captured our hearts on-screen when she attended the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as Hermione Granger, but the 24-year-old actress is now an official graduate of Brown University.
Watson graduated from the Rhode Island Ivy league school with a bachelor's degree in English Literature on Sunday.
The Daily Mail reports that Watson attended the graduation ceremony with her mother, Jacqueline Luesby, and her bodyguard, who wore an undercover cap and gown to blend in with the other 2,000 students from the graduating class of 2014.
Although Watson had extra security for the special day, it seems that she may not have needed it.
Last year, Watson revealed that her fellow students didn't give her special treatment because she was famous.
"I've never even been asked for an autograph on campus," she told Us Weekly in 2013. "I threw a party for nearly 100 students and not a single person put a photo on Facebook."
During her college career, Watson also worked hard on her entertainment career.
According to E! News, Watson shot the final two Harry Potter movies and starred in indies like "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and "The Bling Ring." She also filmed Darren Aronofsky's Biblical epic "Noah" while she was still in college.
Talk about a hard working woman!
So now that Watson has graduated, will she be starring in any more films?
Perhaps, but probably not anytime soon.
During her interview with Wonderland magazine, Watson revealed, "When I finish my degree, I will have a lot more time to pursue other passions, and I want to figure out what those will be. I love having something completely unrelated to the film industry. I want to find something that will let me use my brain in another way. I like connecting people who aren't part of that world, too."
