Madonna’s Twin Malawi Girls Adjusting Well As Father Cries Foul Over Adoption - ‘I am Still Their Father’
Madonna was excited when she revealed that she was able to successfully adopt two Malawi girls from Home of Hope orphanage. She even posts about the twins Stella and Esther adjusting to their new life in New York. But amidst all the news, father of the twins Adam Mwale revealed that he thinks that he has been deceived. He thought that her daughters will be fostered and will be given a good education and will be returned to him. He also said that he is still their father and denied having abandoned the girls after their mother died when they were born.
Madonna first saw the twins in May 2016 and expressed her interest in adopting them from an orphanage, Mail Online reported. Mwale said that he was only told that the lady liked the twins and she wanted to educate them; he was also told that he would meet his daughters again and they will help him and his family. The 40-year old father is now in disbelief that he will not see his children anymore.
Mwale, a farmer with very limited education, said that everything that the orphanage said about him were lies. He did not abandon his children despite having other older kids of his own. He narrated visiting the orphanage as often as he could and bringing the children gifts and dresses. The chief of his remote Malawian village could attest to his story since he was advised to take his children to the orphanage after his wife died. During the time the twins would be officially adopted by Madonna, he stood with his brother-in-law who signed the forms on his behalf.
Meanwhile, Madonna has expressed her joy over her newly adopted daughters. She posted on Instagram saying that she is happy that the adoption is complete and they are now part of her family, The Sun reported. Before she adopted the twins, she took under her wings David Banda in 2008 and Mercy James in 2009. The singer has a son Rocco, 16, who lives with his father Guy Ritchie and Lourdes Maria Ciccone Leon, 20, from Carlos Leon.
Recent reports also said that Madonna's sister as well as her husband have expressed their willingness to become guardians of the twins in case something happens to the singer. She has not responded to Adam Mwale's claims as of this time.
