Google To Collect Feedback From Pixel Users For Next Smartphone In November
Starting 2016, Google had decided to manufacture smartphones all by themselves and not rely on third party partners anymore. Even if reports indicate that the Pixel smartphones were actually manufactured by HTC, the final product still managed to achieve its consumer targets without many hassles. Perhaps, this is maybe why Google wanted to move to a different naming scheme and terminate the Nexus line-up of smartphones completely.
Now that Google will shortly begin the process of developing a successor to the current Pixel smartphones, the internet search giant has decided on collecting user feedback and suggestions in order to build their next smartphone for this year from a report on WCCFTech. This is likely due to a better customer experience and interaction with the company themselves that has been one of the primary concentrations off late.
The current Pixel smartphones are one of the most uniquely designed smartphones part of the previous year, with a dual-panel at the rear that separates the camera, flash and the Nexus imprint situated on a gorilla glass from the logo situated at the bottom that's mainly built with aluminum. However, the main design, in general, didn't draw too much attention to an average joe except for the glossy color coating and also an additional color shade that Google specifically developed and made it exclusive to the Pixel models.
Seems like all product suggestions and existing issues is being monitored by Google through its own community website. With such a move, the Mountain view firm hopes to gain constructive criticism and feedback that they believe will be pivotal to the next generation of Pixel devices. Krishna Kumar, product lead for Pixel smartphone posted on the site asking for community suggestions, as revealed by Digital trends.
The main missing hardware functionality in the Pixel and Pixel XL was the lack of water resistance for the devices that were offered by its competitors Apple and Samsung. That said, users weren't too bothered about it but rather were still optimistic with using their new Pixel smartphone.
