Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus May Cross $1000 Price Index
Samsung is reportedly cooking a lot with its next flagship smartphones in the Galaxy range: Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus. Since its announcement, the handset range has been a subject of wide speculations and rumors. The insiders have already clinched much about the upcoming masterpiece. Now the latest insights hint much about the smartphone's price index. As per the sources, this may seem to be unsatisfactory to many of the smartphone fans, but the South Korean tech giant is said to touch the $1000 costing along with the higher end variant of Galaxy S8.
According to Forbes, the smartphone's both the variants will be available with price tags much closer to $1000 bar. Even the higher end model is said to cross that limit as well. The report suggests that Samsung Galaxy S8 will be retailed at $950. Whereas, Galaxy S8 Plus will be priced at $1050. The cost of the product may also vary in different countries. But this makes it clear that Samsung may be planning to raise the pricing to at least $100 from its predecessor range of Galaxy S7 and S7 Plus. With this, the company may also be setting the target to compete with Apple's iPhone 8 which is also indicated to release at the similar timeline with Galaxy S8.
It was already confirmed by Samsung earlier that the company is not willing to launch its next handset at the upcoming event of Mobile World Congress 2017. But new rumors have some different points to make about Galaxy S8 range. As per a report by SlashGear, Samsung would be teasing the first look of its next Galaxy smartphone with a clear briefing of the same. But it has still not been confirmed by any official sources from the company's end. Samsung press event for MWC 2017 has been scheduled to held on February 26.
Rumors also suggest that Samsung has already planned for a grand opening of Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus at a specialized event in New York City on March 29, 2017. The handset is also expected to be released in the market on April 21, 2017.
