Lebron James Not Ready To Give Up Eastern Conference Throne
Lebron James played in Sunday's All-Star Game as the second oldest player. He must be thankful to NBA commissioner Adam Silver for replacing Kevin Love with Carmelo Anthony. Because if not he would be the oldest.
James, 32, said that it was a breath of fresh air when he'd seen Melo, because he sees he is not the oldest guy on the team anymore. Anthony would soon-to-be 33 years old and just a little older than James. James added that the close call put everything in perspective, as far as where he comes and how long he had been playing basketball. At the same time, he said that it's a humbling thing to know that he is still at an All-Star level, the way he is playing the game right now at his age, as long as he had been playing, with the miles that he had been playing.
According to Yahoo Sports, James is not ready to give up the eastern conference throne that has not happened since in 1960 with Boston Celtics' Bill Russell. He had been the king of the conference for six straight Finals representatives, with the conquered including the MVP and two All-Star quartets.
James has been so unrelenting, Get New News reported that it is because he had assembled the only legitimate super teams in the East and also possessed the brilliance capable of compensating for any roster flaws. Since Cleveland in 2010 James has always supporters like Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, Heat with Irving and Love with the Cavaliers.
Anthony who is one of the rare stars made some attempt to challenge James by switching conferences said that everybody wants to beat James. "Everybody wants to beat whatever team he is on. It's going to be like that until they actually beat him", he added.
Last week Raptors pulled off a major deal for Serge Ibaka to try snatched his throne from him. The Celtics are presently negotiating Chicago Bulls with All-Star Jimmy Butler. Washington Wizards have had the best record in December and is also interested in making any move to boost the team before the trade deadline. But whatever fine teams line up could have before May still Cavaliers are on top against Boston, Washington, and Toronto and James still the favorite for a seventh consecutive Finals appearance.
