"Dragon Ball Super" continues the Universe Survival Arc with episode 80 "Awaken Your Sleeping Battle Spirit! Son Gohan's Fight!" This new episode will feature a new exhibition battle between Gohan and Lavenda. Gohan is inspired to fight next after Majin Buu's surprise win over Kicker Basil. The pink alien was initially not too serious about fighting the strongest kicker of Universe 9 but after learning that his opponent is favored by the Grand Priest, he changes his mind and launches a full attack.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 79 featured a fight between Majin Buu and Kicker Basil. These battles were to prepare fighters for the ultimate Universe Survival fight where losing means getting your home planet obliterated, Comic Book reported. John Blankenship translated the preview for episode 80 and it said that Gohan is blinded with his fight with Lavenda.

Looks like Gohan would have a hard time fighting Lavenda and might even regret he volunteered next. Goku will also be there at the match to watch and cheer on his son. Gohan would be blinded by his opponent's poison that he won't be able to read his ki. Venomous Lavenda is the second eldest of the Trio the Dangers and he is popular for his poison attacks. Gohan on the other hand is still looking for the right counterattack for the Universe 9 fighter.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 80 "Awaken Your Sleeping Battle Spirit! Son Gohan's Fight!" will air on February 25, 2017, Fandom reported. This is the fourth episode of the series' Universal Survival Saga; it is rumored that succeeding episodes will continue to feature preparatory tournaments that involve other members of each team/universe before the actual survival tournament commences.
