Everything You Need To Know About Snapchat Spectacles
Snap inc, the parent firm of one of the world's most popular app Snapchat, have come out with yet another product. Snapchat spectacles, or so it's called as is one of the new introductions to the market. Reports claim that Snap inc. pretty much likes it to be described as a camera company that sells toys to the new generation.
Snapchat spectacles will be rolled out to the markets, in limited quantities, as suggested by a report from PCMag. It's aimed to be targeting the younger audience because of their popularity and daily usage of the app which has seen some enormous traffic in the recent months. Review units have been sent out to popular tech publications and tech YouTubers.
The product will be pushed out with the help of moving vending machines that they named 'Snapbots' and will be initially offered to different countries in the United States. Snapchat Spectacles will be priced at US$129.99 and will come in three different colors with the sizing being common.
The stylish pair of sunglasses from Snap is based on the idea of using them to capture one's adventures within the eyewear itself eliminating the need of an on-head camera such as a GoPro or a drone for that matter. The company had revealed it back in Oct. 2016 that would connect with Snapchat where it would push out the content captured through Snapchat Spectacles.
A report from the Pocket-lint mentions that it can record video snippets and other features that automatically stored to the account through 'Snapchat memories' which saves all captured snaps and other content.
The device will work with Snapchat's Android and iOs apps for now. Those users on both these platforms will be able to transfer the content from Snapchat Spectacles through Wi-Fi for Android or both Bluetooth & Wi-Fi for iPhones. The maximum limit for storage is capped at 200 snaps and playback is only possible through its proprietary app.
