Sara Carbonero Twitter & Instagram 2014: Iker Casillas' Girlfriend Heads to Work for World Cup, Opens Up About Parenthood
Sara Carbonero made headlines last World Cup when her boyfriend Iker Casillas, the goalkeeper for Spain, kissed her in the middle of an interview.
The new mother is focused on her work, and will be working with Mediaset covering the World Cup in Brazil. She will not be taking her 4-month-old son, Martin, with her.
"In this case, I'll leave Martin here, especially at the beginning," she said. "I'm going to work and it's one of my things to organize to move forward. But I'm going to work, as I have done the past five years with my colleagues, and everything will be exactly the same. Martin will be perfectly taken care of."
Carbonero said that just like other mothers she had to learn how to organize her life. Her case is not special, she said.
Carbonero appeared more at ease in front of reporters for this interview, and it's because she no longer feels affected by what people say about her. One reason is that she just doesn't pay attention to what's being said. She's also going to hold off reading reviews, regardless of whether they are good or bad.
But at the end of the day, she and Casillas are used to being criticized.
Carbonero also spoke about her support for her team.
"It's going to be difficult, but always the same quality of the Spanish players keeps giving us positive results, and this year, I hope it's the same. I've got a good feeling."
She thinks Spain will either win the whole thing or at least make it to the finals.
But she doesn't know if she'll make a trip with Casillas and her son if Spain wins the World Cup.
"You definitely have to celebrate it," she said. "We'll see how it goes. I have no idea what I will be doing beyond July 14."
