Nokia 6: Nokia’s New Pure Android Device
For all those Nokia lovers out there, the company is back. One might argue that it is not the same company that won our hearts back in the 2000s. It is actually the Nokia name that is back, owned by Finnish start-up HMD which intends to launch a new line of smartphones. The company was a favorite among many mobile users and served as the first step towards smartphone technology for a huge number of people.
The phone is priced at EUR 229, reported Gadgets 360. The Nokia 6 was first released in China in late 2016 and now this is the first time it's making its way over to the rest of the world. The touch and feel of the device are very Nokia-like and has a premium finish to it. It has a metal unibody made of anodized single-piece aluminum which gives it a superb look.
The screen size is 5.5-inch in size which looks quite big and has a smooth integration with its bezels. It is available in different colors like copper, tempered Blue and black reports, PC advisor. The company is more concerned with conquering the mid-range section of the smartphone world right now before heading on for the top spot. Though featuring similar specs to many other mid-range devices, the CPU in the Nokia 6 smartphone falls short.
Nokia 6 also features 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is quite standard at this price range. One of the bigger relief is the fingerprint scanner which is built into the capacitive home button placed on the front. It also packs 3000mAh battery inside the hood which is pretty decent but lacks USB-C support which is a downer.
The display on Nokia 6 is a 1080p resolution screen and it's delightfully bright. Colors seem accurate and there's more than enough punch which gives a fair fight to any AMOLED panel out there. Nokia has stated that the screen is optimized for outdoor use with a lesser chance of reflections.
Nokia 6 also features a Dolby Atmos certified speaker setup which includes a 'smart amplifier'. This addition will greatly enhance its multimedia operations and will provide deeper and more immersive bass. The 16-megapixel primary camera has autofocus and a dual-LED flash. The front-camera is an 8-megapixel with a f/2.0 aperture which will provide decent low-light selfies.
