"The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 is finally moving towards its conclusion. With just a few episodes remaining, the frontmen explain the background behind the title "I Was Feeling Epic."  

In an interview, Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson sheds light on the season finale episode title. Fans are wondering as the creators are tight-lipped about the episode name "I Was Feeling Epic."  

Just two episodes are left of Season 8 of "The Vampire Diaries" and co-creators Julie and Kevin spoke to Entertainment Weekly regarding the season finale. The explained the description of the title and with obvious reasons, it is affiliated with Elena Gilbert (Nina Dobrev). 

In the second episode of "The Vampire Diaries," Elena told Stefan Salvatore (Paul Wesley) why couldn't they be together. She made a statement saying that it's too complicated for her. "We met, and we talked, and it was epic, but then the sun came up and reality set in."

However, there is an interesting twist involved. Elena would not end up with Stefan, but instead, she would be seen with Stefan's brother Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder). The couple has been referred to as Delena as unfortunately, Elena and Stefan would not portray a couple, reports EW. 

In the middle of the ongoing season, Nina announced that she is quitting "The Vampire Diaries."  However, with a surprising comeback, she has agreed to return for the final episodes of the long-running series. She will be seen in the "I Was Feeling Epic" and fans are patiently waiting whether will appear as Elena, Katherine or play dual roles. 

According to Spoilers Guide, the synopsis for "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 has been released. The released spoilers indicate that Katherine is the "greatest enemy" who is now in charge of Hell after Cade was deteriorated. 

The title takes its name from the Episode 8 where Elena received advice from Stefan's best friend Lexi (Arielle Kebbel). She said when it's deemed, no one can walk away. After Stefan's gratitude, Elena gave a response, which is now the title of the finale and also Plec's favorite line.
